Nothing would give me more pleasure than to list years of education and degrees from prominent institutions on this page, but the fact of the matter is, I have been entirely self-educated in the graphics field throughout my working career.
I was introduced to computers while I was employed at a custom photographic lab in Irvine, California by my husband who was pursuing his master’s degree in Computer Science. Interestingly enough, all my skills in the photographic industry (color theory, page layout, etc.) made for an easy transition into the technological world. I have found that more importantly though, it has been my fascination with the ever evolving technology, and my passion to consistently expand my horizons which have fueled my career.
I recall even at a very early age being fascinated by Hollywood’s special effects in the movie theater. I often find myself silently snickering when I see old movies, that were so mesmerizing in their time in comparison to the mind-boggling effects of today. As I look back now, I find it interesting that my curiousity to discover how all those effects were created would direct my life’s path.
Although I am reluctant to discuss a very personal topic within this website, I feel that it is only fitting that I explain briefly why there is a very limited amount of content within these pages. As you may notice, I will mention throughout the content of these pages that I have over 20 years experience under my belt, but little to show for it.
The explanation is simple. One day there is a fire and the next all is gone. For anyone who has had to, for whatever reason, start all over from the beginning, my sincere sympathies, because it proves to be a very difficult challenge. But with this being said, I find I am up for the challenge of re-inventing myself and moving forward with my career to make it even better then it was before.
